Idiosyncrasies
- Tab Key Navigation in the Browser
- Recently, it was reported that you couldn't move the cursor from field to field with the tab key when filling out a form in the browser.
We were alarmed by this, because we have always been able to move the cursor with the tab key and after doing a cursory
test still could. After conducting an in depth investigation on the report we discovered that under certain cirucmstances
the tab key would fail to move from field to field. Specifically, if after loading a web page for the first time and then
immediately selecting a field with your mouse you can disable the use of the tab key for the entire web page. However, if you activate
the web page by tabbing into the web page and then using your mouse to select the form field you will have full use of the tab
key for navigation purposes. The tab key should work now matter how you enter the web page. Therefore, we are working on a more
comprehensive solution to this idiosyncrasy. Until then, trust that the tab key will work provided you tab into the web page. To do
so, simply select the "Browser" node on the treeview and then hit the tab key. You will be on the web page with full tab functionality.
- Good Jobs in Bad Windows
- On some sites when you click on a job summary to view the details the detail window will open up in another browser window. We are currently looking into a solution which would allow you to prevent this simply by holding down the CTRL key while clicking. In the interim, you should copy the URL from the address line of the new window and paste it into the JobTabs address line. This will allow you to save the job.
