Stating how you are applying for a job is important as it allows JobTabs to do some legwork behind the scenes.  For example, if you plan on pursuing a job lead via email, JobTabs will automatically open the email form upon completing the wizard.  If you apply online, JobTabs will prepare to look for the resume submit button, typically entitled 'Browse...' or 'File...', so that your list of resumes in JobTabs will be displayed instead of only the files on your hard drive.  The resume you select here will automatically be the resume JobTabs assigns to this job application.  While you can change the method you use to apply for a particular job at any time, JobTabs uses your decision to be ready at the wait.

A key benefit of JobTabs is its ability to eliminate the duplication of any work on your part.  This includes having to manually log your job search activities or having to enter data twice.  One of the ways JobTabs accomplishes this is by allowing you go about selling yourself while JobTabs does the administrative work.  So, if you attach a resume to an email that was opened from the job application wizard, JobTabs knows that you are applying for a job.  It knows it needs to update the details related to that job application and allows you to monitor your progress as you move forward.  The details are provided in the help topics below.
