Activity reports summarize all activities related to an entity, i.e., recruiting firm, employer or networking contact. The report will list all of the contacts you have defined for that entity, the address of the entity, web site, and all of their contact particulars such as email, phone, fax, etc. Immediately following are all of the activities for that entity ordered by the most recent activity at the top and earliest activity at the bottom, i.e. descending chronological order.
Activity reports lend tremendous value when preparing for a meeting with a recruiting firm or an employer. Having the entire discourse of your relationship allows you to understand the nuances of the discussions you have had to date and any peripheral information that was said in passing. An activity report is a 'big picture' summary and should instill a sense of confidence and perspective. Expect to be amazed at the amount of valuable information you have that heretofore had slipped into the ether. Activity reports are valuable and you should proactively use them.
All Activities
The All Activities report is a summary of all activities by date. It differs from the other reports as it is designed primarily for analysis. It lists all activities by date so that you can keep a schedule of appointments and tasks regardless of which entity is being served. It also provides advanced sorting and grouping facilities so that you can look at your activities as related to dates, activity types, entity types or individual companies as the case may be. By double-clicking any activity in the listing you will be taken to the appropriate tab, company and specific activity which you double-clicked.
To view the grouping field, click the
Group By icon. The All Activities report showing the Group By panel is shown below,
Sorting
To sort the activities, simply click the column header. To reverse the sort, simply click the column header again.
Grouping
To group the activities, grab the column header and drop it onto the box. The activities will then be grouped by the column header. You may drop any column header and any number of column headers onto the box for more detailed grouping. All sorting facilities will remain fully functional.
