Adding web pages as attachments
The internet has become an indispensable resource for contractors and job seekers alike. Given the here-today-gone-tomorrow nature of the web, saving valuable information to JobTabs is a good idea. This is done by dragging and dropping a URL from your browser onto the resource edit area. You can also drag and drop a URL onto the list of attachments at the bottom of the resource tab if it is showing.
Instructions
- Arrange JobTabs and your internet browser so that they are side by side on your desktop.
- Typically, you would make sure that each application is not maximized. If it is, you will see the Restore icon
in the top right hand corner of the application. Click it if it is visible.
- If you do not see the restore icon but see the maximize icon
instead, simply grab the borders of the application with your mouse and resize the application so that it will fit next to the other.
- The applications don't have to be exactly next to each other, just visible enough so you can see the internet address bar on the browser and the resource edit area in JobTabs.
- Now place your mouse cursor over the icon in the browser as shown below.

- While holding the left mouse button, move the mouse cursor over the resources edit area, as shown below, and release the button.

The URL should now show up as an attachment in the attachments list,

The url will not actually be saved into JobTabs until you click the Save
button. It is also important that you remain online until you save the resource, so that JobTabs can download the web page.

Always verify the contents after saving. There are many factors which can affect the results of a save operation over which JobTabs has no control.
- Some web pages are displayed in frames and will not show properly when saved locally.
- Some web page's rendering is so heavily governed by scripting that they will never display in any environment outside of the browser.
