Copying vs Versioning

What is the difference between copies of resumes and versions of resumes?

Additionally,

Therefore, if you have a resume which you have been sending to different employers that qualifies you as a SQL Server Database Administrator and you want to add or modify something in the resume you would simply edit the resume and save it.  You now have a new version of your SQL Server Database Administrator resume, JobTabs has incremented the version number behind the scenes and the original version of your resume is unaffected by any of your new changes.  If you decide you want to apply for some positions as an Oracle DBA, you would create a copy of your SQL Server resume and then modify it to bring out your experience as an Oracle DBA.

Of importance is how JobTabs increments the version.  JobTabs will only increment the version of a resume when that resume has been sent to someone.  Therefore if you have version 1 of your Oracle DBA resume, you can edit it as often as you want and the version will never change.  However, if you send that resume to a prospective employer and then edit the resume - version 2 is automatically created.  Why?  Because JobTabs will keep a copy of every resume you send from JobTabs.  It does not matter who you sent it to or the insignificance of the change you made - that resume is now part of your job search records.  If you continue to edit version 2 of your resume, your resume will stay at version 2 until you send it to someone.  Think of versions as JobTab's way of keeping track of your old resumes.
