Glossary Item Box
Common among all tabs in JobTabs are trees. Trees provide a means to display information hierarchically. Fortunately, they are easy to understand and we will take a moment to describe them here.
Much like the tree on the Contents tab to the left, JobTabs uses trees to layout information related to your job search. The entire structure is called a tree and each item on the tree is called a node. Nodes are related to each other much like members of a family. There are parent, sibling and child nodes and their definitions are provided below,
| Parent | A parent node has hierarchical nodes below it. |
| Sibling |
A sibling node is on the same hierarchical level as other nodes. |
| Child |
A child node has a hierarchical node on top of it. |

It is important to mention that nodes are typically referred to in the context of their immediate connections. For example, the MS Outlook node is a child of Importing Contacts which is a child of the Contacts node. You would typically not refer to the MS Outlook node as a grandchild of the Contacts node or as the nephew of the Modifying Contacts node.
